PERSONALLY

Thank you!

Thank you for visiting the Men of the 61st century, the Freemasons at Sziget Festival A.L. 6018 in the NGO Island in Budapest. Please write to: sziget@szabadkomuves.hu

Thank you for your time and attention!

What does it mean "men of the 61st century"?

We have many peculiar, rich and beautiful traditions we cherish, one of the many is a code of date still in use adding 4000 years to the current Gregorian Calendar. It is indicated as A.L. or Anno Lucis (meaning year of the Light), and the current year is thus 2018 + 4000 = A.L. 6018. According to that we are in the 61st century.

Are there women Freemasons? Yes. Whilst our Grand Lodges, following the example of medieval stonemasons, are, and have always been, restricted to men, women Freemasons have two separate Grand Lodges, which are restricted to women. For more information, please contact the Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons [HFAF] and the Order of Women Freemasons [OWF].
